Director of Business Development

The Business Development team is responsible for all new client and revenue generating activities for bsp and its sister company, POP Studio. We are looking for a dynamic professional with the ability to take on new client acquisition and business development initiatives as part of the Business Development team.

Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, this individual will be responsible for the development of new client pitches and securing new business that drives top line growth for the firm. The professional will be charged with prospecting new clients, creating sales collateral, leading new client pitches, developing proposals and negotiating representation agreements against aggressive revenue goals.

Some travel will be required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Goal oriented with a track record of success in exceeding aggressive short and long-term revenue metrics
  • Demonstrated capabilities in creating new client pitches, developing proposals and responding to RFPs that lead to new business
  • Superior written, verbal and presentation skills; natural ability to deliver persuasive presentations to senior management and board level executives
  • Strong business acumen and exceptional negotiation skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as within a team environment
  • Desire to join a growing organization with a culture that thrives on passion, hard work, enthusiasm, and fun
  • Minimum of 6 years of business development, sales and/or marketing experience

Analyst/Senior Analyst

We are looking for an individual who will be responsible for assisting in the development and execution of brand extension strategies for bsp clients. Specifically, the Senior Analyst or Analyst will perform in-depth industry research & analysis, assist with the development of strategic consulting plans, and engage prospective partners through business development initiatives, in addition to other ad hoc projects.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, organized and detail-oriented individual with an interest in business development, brand development, marketing and licensing who is looking to play an integral role in supporting the bsp team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be resourceful and analytical with a strong ability to proactively solve problems and recommend creative solutions
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as within a team environment in a high pressure, heavy workload environment
  • Demonstrated success in project management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as organizational, time management and planning skills
  • Must have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Previous research, consulting and business development experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree
